Our New Home

Well, the final piece of the puzzle is finally in place - we have a moving day! They're coming to pack up our stuff on the 13th and 14th of July, we'll then spend a night with friends here in Waco, then Wednesday the 15th we will put Waco in our rear view mirror. But, while neither of us can say that Waco is our favorite town, leaving will be a sad day. We'll miss the many friends we've made and we'll miss the home and life we've built.

But nonetheless, July 15th of 2009 will be our last day in Waco, TX. Our plans aren't firm after that - we've loosely planned to break the trip up with visits to friends and family, including stops in Houston, Baton Rouge, Dothan, Auburn, Atlanta, Aiken, Charlotte, Richmond, and then finally our new home sweet home, Annapolis MD.

And, as mentioned in our last post, we actually have a place to live in Annapolis! We'll have more details later (and even more if you come visit), but it's a high rise apartment building on top of a huge (four block) shopping center. It is a brand new (we'll be the first people living in it) two bedroom two bathroom deal with brand new appliances, 24 hour security inside and outside the building, parking in a gated garage, and downstairs a huge array of restaurants, Whole Foods, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and on and on and on. We're also only a block or two from several huge shopping centers with pretty much everything we can think of within walking distance. In other words - we won't need to drive a whole lot. We're also on the West side of Annapolis, so getting to DC or Baltimore is only a 30 minutes drive. Downtown Annapolis is about a 10-15 minute drive, so we have easy access to the (incredible) seafood and the Naval Academy.

The roof of the complex also comes with two terraces, a pool, a gym, a yoga room, a business center (with all Macs!), and an amazing view of the rest of Annapolis, a conference room, a grill and grill patio, a TV room, and on and on and on.

So, that's where we'll be for the next year. After that we (currently) plan on moving somewhere less central - to somewhere a bit quieter. But - who knows

Below are a few pictures of the place - here is the kitchen:

Here is the view from the kitchen. Directly in front of the camera is a fairly large dining space, to the left is the guest bathroom with the guest bedroom on the other side, the middle of the living room, and the right is the master bedroom:

Woah guys! That's an awesome place! I am so jealous that there is a Target right there...that might not be a good thing for you : ) And all the shops and stuff...and a high rise, it's like living in a big city in China. I'm excited for yall and though Waco is not the "most awesomest" maybe in all the world, I know it has memories...but there's a big world out there...thanks for keeping us posted!!
